Talk about...OET

It really is great to be able to talk with whatever software and communicate through a variety of means other than traditional much as they are useful for some things. Experiential learning is also my preferred way of learning, so this blog certainly works for me. (Now just to work out the add image button...hmmm).
The last 6 weeks has been an information explosion and great exploration for me. I am sure that I will take many ideas and challenges back to school and workshop them and integrate them into the curriculum.

Hi Matthew

I was waxing lyrical to some colleagues today about all of the new communication software we've been playing with here at OET- Elluminate, Breeze, Skype, Springdoo et al. until I suddenly realised they were all smiling indulgently at me as though I had gone a little insane!

But then I came back here to our collaborative blog and am reassured to find myself among like-minded brave pioneers.

That's the spirit Amanda!
Sometimes I also feel like I must be from out of space. People stare at me when I enthusiastically talk about these things. But you know what? It's their problem, because I am learning so much while having fun and meeting new people. Can it get better than this??

I have to admit- it does seem like a foreign language. But I must be learning it! At the beginning talks of blogging, skype, yahoo, podcasts would set my head into a spin and now I feel quite comfortable chatting away-
Good thing I have others to chat with who understand me:-)

I tried to link this site to to monitor it and it wont let me.
Guess I'll have to check back myself every few days..could be worse. Other sites are OK mostly.
PS I not sure if this should be a comment or a post in the blog? Ideas?

Like Amanda I have become very excited about all that's available online and although am a little slow in getting to grips with each new thing that crops up I am getting there...with a little help from my friends here! And after a nervous start it really is great fun.
Now wishing I had signed up for the blogs option but hope instead to keep up with you here in the next few weeks. See you all in Week 7.
